OC Pony Eclipsis

My Original Pony, Eclipsis.
Backstory: Eclipsis is much older than he appears, being the apprentice to StarSwirl the Bearded. Following in his master's footsteps he became a talented unicorn, adept at all sort of magic. However, his lust for knowledge and greater magic slowly began to twist him. He spent the majority of his life researching and experimenting on himself, hoping to prolong his life and he did eventually create a spell that allowed him to retain his youth and power far past the norm for any normal unicorn. However, he new this spell would eventually lose it's effect, and having drained him of so much of his magical prowess, he could not duplicate it again, even in his long lifetime. As signs of aging progressed he became more obsessed with his immortality, if only he had been born an alicorn. That's when it hit him. If he could not truly be an alicorn, he could steal one's power. Celestia's power. The spell he created for this purpose, does have a flaw, both ponies have to consent to this exchange of power. In his current state he can not defeat her, he would have to somehow convince or trick her into willingly pass down her divine providence. Being an adviser to the royal sisters along with his mentor, he knew them quite well and slowly began to set his plan into motion. To convince Celestia to transfer her power to him by playing on her weak spots.

His design is modeled after an eclipse(duh) Black and white, Night and Day. He cannot be a divine pony like the Celestia or Luna, he's somewhere in between.

An example from the story he was created for:

"My dear friend Celestia. You really have lost touch with this world haven't you? To think one as old as you would keep up your false bravado all this time. You wear that smile on your face with such ease now I'm sure you don't remember how much practice it took to create it. Does it truly not bother you anymore? To see everyone you've ever known and loved, wither and die right before your own eyes? You are too kind to think yourself above them, I know. But still, you seclude yourself from most, hiding away in your ivory tower, why? So you don't feel the pain of seeing their fleeting smiles. Every time you do, it reminds you how you'll never see it again. Am I right? I know I am. Why else would you keep a phoenix of all creatures as a pet? Because it's one of the few living things in this world that won't leave you. I'm sure banishing your sister was no easy task as well, and I'm not talking about the battle with her, you were alone. The one pony who could understand you, gone. By your hoof. I'm sure it was hard on you my princess. And even with her back, you still have a little voice in your head, telling you she resents you for what you did to her....and you're right. You no longer have any connection to this world Celestia. I find it laughable you have your student and her friends write to you on the 'magic of friendship'. You've forgotten whats it's like to have a close friend...all of them are gone now, and you're too afraid to make any real ones for fear of losing them so you cling to those findings for any emotional connection without fear of being hurt! But I can take that away princess, I can relieve your suffering. Give me your immortality. Let your servant shoulder the burden, it is my duty! You'll once again be able to love and cherish others like you've not been able to for a millennia! Let me help you my princess, let me give you the gift of mortality!"
